Chase charges

A 44-YEAR-OLD Yarra Junction man has been charged for speeding after trying to evade police at twice the speed limit in Wandin last week.
He is due to appear in Ringwood Magistrates’ Court for speeding offences, evading police and other traffic offences. He has already had his vehicle impounded for 30 days.
Police said they picked up the car on radar speeding along Warburton Highway at 6.20am on Wednesday 14 December. They said the vehicle was travelling at 98km/h in the 80 zone between Quayle and Beenack roads and when they gave chase it reached 120 to 130km/h in a 60 zone.
