How do we beat the toll?

IT’S every parent’s worst nightmare.
The knock at the door in the early hours of the morning – opening the door to see two people in the blue uniform, their duty to inform you that your child has been killed in a car accident.
Phil Scott wasn’t expecting his daughter Laura home the night before Mother’s Day.
She had arranged to stay at a friend’s place and had promised to be home for their annual lunch.
Sadly Laura didn’t stay at her friend’s place, instead deciding to drive home. She never made it to lunch.
It’s a story told too often. A young life taken far too soon – but how do we stop it from happening?
