MEMBERS of the new Toolangi Castella Youth Group are really getting teeth into the town’s festival activities.
The group which meets every Friday night at the C. J. Dennis Hall has around 15 members who are looking forward to promoting the group and adding to the fun of the Toolangi Castella Festival on 12 and 13 November.
“We are very keen to get awareness for the group and to let people know what we are about,” said Danielle Marshall, a qualified youth worker who says the group provides a place for local youth, aged between 12 and 25, to meet and have fun each week.
The 15 members have been putting together show bags and will run a doughnut-eating competition and the Velcro wall as well as some fun competitions.
The Toolangi Castella festival will start on the Saturday with the Bush Poetry Festival and food, music and a moonlight cinema screening of Avatar.
The free activities continue on the Sunday with rides, entertainment, food, stalls, raffles, more Bush Poetry, community group demonstrations, games and lots of family fun.
