HAVE you ever wanted to learn another language, try your hand at painting or just get fit and have fun?
The Healesville Living and Learning Centre is more than just a place where you can get a qualification or learn computing.
There are also classes and workshops on art, health and fitness or special interest, available.
During May and June the centre will be offering workshops on drawing, painting, terracotta clay work and limestone carving for those who would like to experience an introduction to these art forms.
During Neighbourhood House Week from 9 to 13 May, there will be two free community information sessions on Retirement Villages and Owner Corporations (Body Corporate).
The Healesville Men’s Shed is also located at the centre and is looking for new members who would enjoy a spot of gardening or working on a woodwork project.
Shed participants are supported by two staff members so it’s a great activity for those men who would like to take up woodworking or need a little guidance in developing their skills.
The Men’s Shed is open every Monday and Wednesday between 10am and 4pm..
For those ‘tech-heads’ in the community who really love computers, you can choose from a range of courses from Open Access to Certificate III in Information Technology using the centre’s new computers loaded with the latest software.
