MACCLESFIELD Pony Club held its inaugural dressage day on Sunday at the club’s grounds on the corner of TSChampions and Kennedy roads.
In fantastic weather, Kelly Stovold from the Berwick Pony Club took out Grade 2 while Bunyip’s Melissa Taffe took out the reserve position.
Macclesfield’s Laura Breen won Grade 3 ahead of fellow club member Sarah Baffi.
Natasha Dixon, also from Macclesfield, won Grade 4 from Upper Beaconsfield’s Christine Meyer and Macclesfield’s Amy Veenendaal.
Grade 5 went to Macclesfield’s Chelsea Vanderaa from teammate Annabel Weiner.
In the under-eight class, Mia Wigham from Berwick finished just ahead of Macclesfield’s Darcee McCallum and Chelsea’s Jamie Warrendork.
One of the day’s major sponsors was Damien Taylor from Prime Equus, who has set up a charity to financially support families directly involved in the equine industry that have been touched by breast cancer.
