Playing each other only the week before, Wandin and Upwey Tecoma met again at the weekend in a very exciting match of netball. The difference this time, however, was that the Upwey girls got over the line, defeating Wandin comfortably 41 – 32.
Wandin will be playing Monbulk next week, as Upwey Tecoma will be playing Mount Evelyn with both games expecting to be absolute rippers.
Heading up to Healesville at the weekend for the elimination final, Monbulk met Warburton Millgrove. Having played against one another the previous week, the outcome was possibly going to be different; however, the Warby girls registered the important win and defeated Monbulk for the second week in a row, 36 – 27.
Also playing at Healesville, Mount Evelyn and Upwey Tecoma met one another at the weekend in a qualifying final. Both teams played well, with the game rising to another level as compared to that of the usual season. By the end of the game, the Mount Evelyn girls won the match comfortably 44 – 29.
