IN the most exciting match of the round, Wandin upset Upwey Tecoma and claimed second position on the ladder.
The game was close from the start, with the two teams even in skill and with both sides’ goalers unbelievably accurate. Wandin won the game 52 – 45.
Undefeated ladder leaders Mount Evelyn continued its dominant year defeating Olinda Ferny Creek at home. Mount Evelyn will have next week off as the other teams battle for the remaining ladder positions. The reigning premiers won the match 75 – 34.
To finish off round 18, Monbulk hosted Warburton Millgrove in a match that was marred by both rain and sunshine. However, nothing could stop the dominance of Monbulk. It won 41 – 21, which means Warburton misses out on this year’s finals.
In its final game of the 2010 season at home, Woori Yallock lost to Gembrook Cockatoo 43 – 25.

EMERALD travelled to Yarra Junction at the weekend for the elimination final. Everything went right for the Emerald girls from the get-go in a game that Yarra Junction couldn’t afford to lose. However, defensive pressure proved to be the difference between the two sides. Having won the match 73 – 21, Emerald faces Seville next week.
In the qualifying final, Seville played Yea. Yea’s goalers shot accurately securing the win 54 – 28. Next week Yea meets the reigning premiers Powelltown and Seville faces the well-performing Emerald.
