Maintain home protection

RECENT weather conditions may lead people to think that the threat of bushfires has diminished.
A small amount of rain can make grass grow very quickly all it takes is spell of warmer weather for the grass to quickly dry off.
This leads to an increased fuel load and increased bushfire threat. A few days of rain is no reason for complacency.
The CFA is reminding communities to be aware of bushfire threat and to always be prepared because there is still the potential for hot weather.
People are urged to have a bushfire survival plan and that if they don’t have one it is still not too late to develop one.
Home owners are also urged to prepare their homes for a bushfire.
