At the Lions Club Carols by Candlelight, held at Queen’s Park in perfect carol-singing weather, the yellow overalls with their festive red braces, were again called on to help with the Santa meet and greet.
More than 500 people enjoyed the activities provided by the Lions Club of Healesville, the chance to catch up with friends and neighbours, to sing along with the Healesville Combined Christian Churches Choir and the Salvation Army Melbourne Brass Band in both festive and traditional carols, and a Christmas message on the true meaning of Christmas from Anglican pastor Lindsay Hall.
