CHUM Creek resident Sarah Williams is holding grave concerns for her best friend who has been missing since Tuesday 10 November.
‘Lost’ posters have been placed around Healesville in a desperate bid to find three-year-old Sarah’s 20 centimetre mutt who enjoys cuddles and answers to the name of Wooey.
The well-travelled toy pooch features in many family photos, including their trips to the United Kingdom and Sarah’s mother Moira said he is very much ‘part of the family’.
“Sarah has had him since she was six-months-old,” said Mrs Williams.
“She couldn’t pronounce Woofy so he’s now known as Wooey.
“He’s not in mint condition, he goes everywhere with Sarah.
“On the day we lost him I wasn’t feeling very well, so I wasn’t paying too much attention to whether or not we still had him.
“We parked behind the post office (in Healesville) then went to the library, the shops and Healesville Sanctuary.
“Sarah has been very upset since it happened, she keeps asking ‘where’s my doggy’.”
Mrs Williams said while she has contacted the places they visited and put up posters around town, the family have not been able to find Wooey.
Sarah’s current comforter Jelly Cat has been cleared of any involvement with the disappearance.
Anyone who may have seen or picked up Wooey is encouraged to contact the Williams family on 0400 993 405.
