Sheeds’ night out

KEVIN Sheedy will have plenty to talk about when he visits Healesville next month.
The football great, who will talk at a “Blokes Night Out” at the Don Road Sporting Complex on Wednesday 2 December, was yesterday (Monday) appointed the first coach of West Sydney.
The new team will enter the AFL in 2012.
Sheedy, 61, has been an enduring figure in VFL and AFL for more than five decades and has an unsurpassed record of involvement over 1000 games and eight premierships.
He played in three winning grand final sides for Richmond – 1969, ’73 and ’74.
He was the skills coach at Richmond when the club won the 1980 premiership.
He coached Essendon for a record 635 games during 27 years of continuous coaching and took the club into 19 finals series.
