THIRTY-THREE debutantes and their partners took to the dance floor at the Karalyka Centre in Ringwood as part of the Rotary of Club of Healesville Annual Debutante Balls.
Rotary has hosted the debutante balls for close to 30 years and the 2009 ball was the 18th for instructress Linda Bellamy.
The debutantes, who included Rotary exchange students Linnea Oberg from Norway and Sophie Lehner from Austria, were presented to Rotary club president Barbara Dickson, in her first official duty since taking on the leadership role.
Ms Dickson said it was a delight to see the transformation of the debs and their partners from the practice stage to beautifully presented young women and men. “I really appreciated all the work the Rotary team led by Cheryl Chippindall put in again this year,” she said.
