Young Rascals are champions

Sherbrooke Rangers Junior Soccer Club’s under-11 team took home the premiership flag.Sherbrooke Rangers Junior Soccer Club’s under-11 team took home the premiership flag.

THE Sherbrooke Rangers under-11 Rascals finished their first FFV season as champions of the East Joeys Orange division.
The 78 goals scored for the season and two against, showed both the defensive and offensive skills of the team.
Their very proud coach attributed their win to fantastic training efforts and a beautiful team spirit.
Coaches from other teams in the FFV competition have remarked several times during the season at how the Rascals stood out because of their joy in the game.
With most players being comfortable in multiple positions the passing game has been the Rascals strong point.
All players trained and played for their Saturday teams as well as for the Rascals, and they are as keen at the end of the season as they were at the start.
The strength of this Rangers’ age group is shown by the fact that not only did the under-11s win their FFV Division on Sunday, but the under-11 Saturday teams were placed first, second and third in their VCSA competition.
As an end-of-season treat the Rascals have been invited to play at the Last Day of the Green gala day at Monbulk Soccer Club on 12 September.
The gala day is being organised to mark the renewal of the pitch at Monbulk with a synthetic surface.
