The group’s sound could be described as a mixture of guitar, strong vocals and well-crafted lyrics said lead singer Jed Rowe, with artists such as Crowded House and Ben Harper providing the band with inspiration.
New release ‘Midnight Sun’ took a total of 12 months to complete and is due for release on August 7, coinciding with the group’s upcoming show.
“It was a long process, a mixture of some home recording and work at the studio,” Jed Rowe said.
“It’s 13 original tracks, recorded with a number of guest musicians including a string quartet, horn section and percussion,”
“The album has a dynamic sound and high energy groove-driven songs and some more reflective vocals and lyrics driven songs.”
The show will feature a guest string section featuring teachers and students from local Little Yarra Steiner School.
The show will be held at the Upper Yarra Arts Centre in Warburton on Saturday 1 August from 8pm onwards.
