YARRA Junction Junior Football Club’s enthusiastic under-10 and under-12 players had a taste of the big league in June when they left the valley and headed for the big sticks.
The youngsters, club officials and parents saw Collingwood play Fremantle at the MCG.
Club spokesman Tony Aulich said the day was great fun for the young players and everyone who went along and saw the Magpies win the game.
“Our young payers watched the game from near the goals and had a close view of the AFL stars,” he said. “It was a memorable trip, very well attended and full of good clean fun! Thanks to all the parents who came and supervised and to our great bus driver.”
