HODDLES Creek Primary School teachers think Grade 4 student Rachael is a bit of a star.
She is the first recipient of the monthly Hoddles Idol Award that recognises students who display the five school values that include respect, honesty and integrity.
Principal John McElvie said that Rachael was a very good citizen and very good role model to other students.
“The student who is selected for the award best displays school values consistently over the month,” Mr McElvie said.
‘We’re trying to make sure the kids understand there are certain values we do respect and it’s also a great chance to acknowledge the kids who may be in the background but are trying their hardest.”
Rachael, a Massey House captain, lists reading as her favourite subject and said that she was surprised to be chosen for the award that was presented to her at a full school assembly recently.
