A GOOD field took to the course in perfect golfing conditions for Saturday’s March monthly medal.
Peter Stevens (11) put aside his presidential duties momentarily to win the medal with a terrific net score of 65 that included numerous booming drives.
Ben Balfour (17) just back on the course from a month touring Australia shot a great 66 to narrowly miss out while Dave Aitken (18) continued his fine form by winning C grade with a fine 68.
Other good rounds for the day included Con Whitlock and Ben Thomson on 69.
Nearest the pin winners were: 4th Mango Maguire, 7th Peter Jones, 12th Dave Thomas, 13th Rod Ward, 18th and pro-pin Mango Maquire.
Café Marte winners for the week were: 10th Peter Clowes, 17th Ken Hill.
Next week is the qualifying round of the 4BBB Alex Wee Cup.
