YARRA Ranges’ community sporting groups, schools and organisations are encouraged to come together for a Bushfire Benefit Concert at Healesville racecourse.
Two stages will be set up for the 15 bands and solo artists from the Yarra Valley and Melbourne who have already been added to the program.
Local artists such as the Heartstarters, Aaron Burton and Friends, The Hannafords and Leanne Patrick have already raised their hands to play at the benefit.
Co-ordinator of the Bushfire Benefit Concert, Stuart Aldridge, says every dollar raised from the benefit concert will be going towards Healesville Rotary’s bushfire appeal.
“We thought it would be a great way for everyone in the community to thank the emergency service workers who took part in protecting their properties,” Mr Aldridge said.
“We just want to let everyone come and enjoy themselves and relax and have a great day out. It’s also a fun way to help the community in raising more money for the bushfire appeal.”
The Bushfire Benefit Concert at Healesville racecourse is planned to start at 10am on Sunday 19 April and go into the night.
Community sporting, school or organisations who would like to volunteer on the day are advised to please contact Mr Aldridge to register their interest on 0402 464 511.
