BORONIA Cricket Club raised more than $1800 for the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal with a flood of runs and wickets on Saturday 14 February.
The club’s five senior and seven junior sides scored a combined 1798 runs and took 57 wickets. Sponsors donated a dollar for every run made and each opposition wicket taken, raising a total $1855.
“Two of our teams hit their highest scores of the season and also had their first wins for the season,” Boronia Cricket Club’s Joanne McIntyre said.
