TERRY Smith has been building and servicing trailers for more than 45 years.
The Healesville resident started Lilydale Trailer Spares as a hobby when the suppliers he’d relied on to repair his own trailers stopped selling to the public.
“We build trailers, we repair trailers, and we sell all the parts to repair or build a trailer,” Mr Smith said.
The business’s main customer base is the Lilydale and Yarra Ranges area.
“We build trailers to size. We don’t mass produce trailers,” he said.
From a custom-built trailer to pull behind your car, to tailor-made camper trailers, to horse float repairs, Lilydale Trailer Spares offers it all.
Although the business has been operating for just four years, Mr Smith and his close-knit team have regular customers.
“We carry all parts to build a new trailer or to repair an old one. We can tailor a trailer for you,” he said.
Lilydale Trailer Spares is located in factory 12 in Trade Place, Lilydale Industrial Park in Beresford Road, Lilydale.
