LILYDALE Criminal Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault in Queen’s Park in Healesville in December to come forward.
Senior Detective Phil Russell of the CIU said police are investigating an incident involving a group of Healesville youths and members of a family group, including women and children, who were having dinner in the park on Sunday, 21 December.
Sen Det Russell said the family were tourists visiting the area for the day.
The incident happened at around 8pm.
