EMERALD, travelling to Nyora in B Grade, made a solid start after being sent in to field, Clinton Marsh picking up two early wickets as Nyora tumbled to 4-51 after 20 overs.
Emerald kept up the pressure, dismissing the highly rated Nyora in the 41st over for 134. Spinner Tim Sproule was the pick of the bowlers, with 4-28 off his eight overs, and Marsh contributed strongly with 3-21.
Emerald began its chase well, reaching 47 when opener Mark Alenson was caught. This triggered a middle-order collapse, with the Bombers losing 5-28. Emerald recovered and lower-order batsman Cam Williams anchored the innings with Donald Alenson, getting the Bombers over the line.
Emerald finished at 8-144, Williams making 32 and opener Alan Bendall top scoring with 38.

EMERALD batted first against Devon Meadows, and was on the back foot at 6-43 after 18 overs, with opener Tony Flint making 30 of those runs. Good batting from Danny Gilles then lifted Emerald to a respectable 126 on a slow ground, Gilles top scoring with 51.
Emerald defended its total impressively, bowling out Devon Meadows for 74. Gilles followed up his fine batting with figures of 4-9 off eight overs in a man-of-the-match performance, while captain Jarred Gillespie chipped in with 3-25 off eight.

EMERALD, batting first in a one-day match against Kooweerup, started positively with good batting from Derek Scott and Zeb Quigley, the score moving to 2-90 at drinks. Emerald continued to build its innings, reaching 206 off 40 overs, with Scott top scoring with 59 and Quigley making 38. Kooweerup could only manage 7-160 in reply. Best bowlers were Kieron Thoms (3-43) and Tom Baldock (2-30).

EMERALD, playing the Lyndhurst Vikings, elected to bat after winning the toss and was in trouble early at 3-31. Then Bryan Thomas (22) and Colin Burns (29), and Ryan Appleby (22) at the end of the innings, lifted Emerald’s total to 154.
Emerald then defended its score to win by two runs. Peter Head proved to be the matchwinner, picking up the last three wickets to finish with 4-17.
