Dress for all-day breakfast

IFBREAKFAST all day sounds like your cup of tea, head to The Ranges Cafe in the heart of Yarra Junction.
Open seven days a week to ease culinary cravings at breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon tea, The Ranges Cafe is a must stop shop.
Cafe owner Sally Kellerman took over the reins after selling up at Puffing Billy to work closer to home.
“I had had my eye on this place, and it was still for sale by the time I sold over at Puffing Billy so it must have been meant to be,” Ms Kellerman said.
The family-run business has expanded the menu and renovated and refurbished the cafe decor during the three years they have been running the popular cafe, to create a unique cafe atmosphere.
Experience a taste of Parisian cafe culture out front on the main shopping strip or inside the cream and burgundy-themed dining room, or relax on the balcony and enjoy the picturesque views.
Why not tuck into a hearty big breakfast with all the trimmings at any time from morning to afternoon?
Take 10 and enjoy a Devonshire tea, a frothy cappuccino or milkshake, with a French vanilla slice or a piece of homemade cheesecake.
If you dare, make a choice from the delicious selection of fudges, slices and gourmet cookies on offer.
This summer The Ranges Cafe will once again delight customers with homemade roasted Mediterranean vegetable quiches and frittatas featuring locally grown spring vegetables.
For the less adventurous, you can’t go wrong with a traditional pie…or a gourmet one.
Try Thai chicken, cauliflower with broccoli and cheese, or the mouth watering steak onion and tomato, just to name a few.
With all the old favourites on the menu, there is something for everyone – the kids…and the big kids at heart.
There are gingerbread men by the dozen, happy face cookies, and double-choc smartie and choc chip cookies to be had by everyone.
And if you have a taste for some bargain hunting after a delicious morsel, Ms Kellerman recently opened a new and recycled clothing shop called Silhouette.
“We opened just two weeks ago and we stock items from Supre, Ice and Caroline Morgan,” Ms Kellerman said.
A minute’s walk from the cafe, the shop offers women’s and children’s brand names at affordable prices, as well as a variety of hand bags and selection of Peruvian jewellery.
So why not make a day of it. Food and fashion: what more could you ask for?
