HEALESVILLE’S RecLink Rocky Road Choir has not only survived, but has thrived on its first public appearance.
The choir, inspired by the Choir of Hard Knocks, performed two songs at Healesville Interchurch Community Care Inc. (HICCI) weekly community dinner, Dinner At Darrons.
The choir, which has been rehearsing together under the leadership of Leah Marlowe for just over a month, was a great hit with its audience who sang along to “When the Saints Come Marching In” and applauded enthusiastically.
While some members admitted to a little pre-performance nerves, their first venture on to the stage was very much a well-deserved baptism of roses.
