A LOVE of scrapbooking and natural creative flair are the driving force behind Adriana Aloi’s venture into the greeting card market.
Friends and relatives have been the lucky recipients of the Healesville 13 year-old’s beautiful cards over the past year, but on Sunday she launched into the public arena with a stall at the Rotary Club of Healesville’s market.
And, she was pleased with the response.
“Most people tell me that they like them and ask if I make them myself,” said Adriana, who built on her initial interest in scrapbooking and card-making by going to classes.
She makes cards for all occasions including weddings, birthdays, Christmas, new baby, get well and friendship as well as gift and place tags.
She said it’s the personal touch that people like and the fact that each card is unique.
It’s probably a little early to be talking about whether cardmaking is a career in the making for Adriana, but she is certainly keen to expand on a hobby she not only enjoys but has a real talent for.
“I haven’t been asked to do anything like wedding place names but I’d love to do it if I was asked,” she said.
