THE RSPCA has again selected the Yarra Valley’s Wrangler Jayne (natural horsemanship instructor and horse behaviourist) to present a demonstration for their upcoming Horse Education Day.
The event, scheduled for Saturday 11 October, will be held at the RSPCA’s headquarters, in Burwood.
Ms Jayne’s presentation will give horseowners the opportunity to find out more about natural horsemanship, and to learn ways of handling horses safely and confidently.
Participants will see how her gentle and sensitive methods work, as she explains and demonstrates with one of the RSPCA’s rescue horses.
“Ms Jayne’s participation has been a highlight of our education days; we are delighted to have her back, and feel that her contribution and commitment to the welfare of horses is fantastic,” said David Portelli, education officer, RSPCA Victoria.
The event, designed to provide vital information and advice first-hand from several horse professionals – including a veterinarian, equine dentist, saddle fitter, nutrition expert and an RSPCA inspector – will enable people to ask questions and develop a greater understanding of horse health, behaviour and feeding.
