Launching Place students Luke and Jessica visited the Life Education van at Launching Place last week with Lions president Alex Brown and Life Ed van teacher Judith Conway.HEALESVILLE Lions Club is working overtime to keep the Yarra Valley Life Education Van on the road.
The Lions Den opportunity shop will open on Sundays in a bid to raise funds.
Lions president Alex Brown had adopted the van as the president’s project for his one year term.
The van needs $44,500 for refurbishment, supply it with new equipment and technology and to repay the debt the van owes to parent company Life Education Victoria.
The Lions Club has launched an appeal with a donation of $5000, and the extra income from Sunday trading will help the club reach their target.
The Lions Den opportunity shop will run a visual display and promotion in their window to promote the appeal and donations can be made at the shop or posted to the Lions Club of Healesville, PO Box 167, Healesville, 3777. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
