FIFTH birthdays are special.
Traditionally, it’s one of those birthdays which demands a celebration.
For kids it’s early days … there have been some important developmental achievements, some major milestones and a glimpse into what the future holds.
It’s the same for Woori Yallock and District Community Bank … and, in keeping with tradition, they are having a party.
The bank will host a community sausage sizzle at the bank on Saturday 20 September and everyone’s invited.
Manager Rick Tolsher said the bank’s 3700 account holders come from all around the district – Woori Yallock, Don Valley, Hoddle Creek, Launching Place and Yellingbo.
“We want people to come down and join the staff and board members to mark the occasion,” Mr Tolsher said.
The sausage sizzle will fire up at 10.30am and at 12.30pm the bank doors will open – much as they did on the first day – for the cutting of a fabulous birthday cake.
