BADGER Creek CFA volunteers are looking forward to showing the local community around their new station on Sunday.
The long-awaited station will be officially opened on Sunday 14 September at 1pm by the Minister for Police and Emergency Services Bob Cameron.
Badger Creek captain Nic Rodway said the brigade sees the provision of a new facility, which is essentially about providing the best possible response to fire and other emergencies in the area, as a community celebration.
“The opening is an opportunity for local people to have a look around the station and share some time and afternoon tea with our members,” Mr Rodway said.
