TWO of Australia’s brightest talents will join forces this month for what promises to be an unforgettable musical experience.
Sebastian Jorgensen and Kavisha Mazzella will perform at Montsalvat in Eltham on Sunday 17 August.
Long regarded as one of Australia’s leading guitarists and interpreters of classical repertoire and Indigenous music of Australia, Sebastian has been performing around the world for more than four decades.
Kavisha Mazzella’s wonderful voice and spirit has excited audiences across the country through her involvement with the amazing Italian Women’s Choir.
She will sing with her acclaimed trio as well as being joined by La Voce Della Luna – Italian Women’s Choir, for the concert.
The choir’s lively songs chart the human journey from the cradle to the grave with voices that are both comic and passionate, moving raucous and sweet, in a celebration of life.
Sebastian’s myriad of performances include appearances at the acclaimed Wigmore and Festival Halls in London and concerts across the United States, Asia and around Australia.
An experimental classical guitarist and musician, who acknowledges and incorporates the unique sounds of Aboriginal Australia into his music, Sebastian has made a unique contribution to the lexicon of music in Australia.
Deep Song of the South, in the amazing landscape of Montsalvat promises a rare concert of voices and musical sounds both ancient and new from Australia and Italy – sounds that will evoke the saddest cry to the deepest belly laugh.
