MT MARGARET Road, Buxton, will be widened within a year thanks to a $254,000 State Government grant.
The upgrade is part of the Brumby Government’s plans to improve regional Victoria’s transport links on vital timber roads as well as to enhance tourism in regional areas.
Roads and Ports Minister Tim Pallas said: “Modern and improved transport infrastructure is vital to link our people, our communities and our businesses, and to enhance road safety for all Victorians.”
Work is expected to begin by year’s end.
