MITCHAM Private Hospital offers professional and friendly service.
“New equipment and modern technology at our recently redeveloped Day Surgery Unit ensures patients receive a high level of care and safety,” said hospital spokesperson Helen Burke.
Specialist services offered at the Day Surgery Unit include endoscopy (colonscopy and gastroscopy), general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, gynaecology, plastic surgery, urology, urodynamic studies, ophthalmology and ear, nose and throat surgery.
The unit has experienced nursing and medical staff.
“A day procedure offers the benefit of an operation, investigation or treatment that does not necessitate an overnight stay in hospital,” Ms Burke explained.
“It also reduces costs and enables the return to daily routine with a minimum of disruption.”
Mitcham Private Hospital is a 110-bed facility that offers general medical, surgical and maternity services, with a caring, friendly and relaxed atmosphere for patients with an emphasis on ensuring a speedy return home.
Ms Burke said the hospital provides an open access service for patients needing colonoscopies and gastroscopies.
Once referred by a GP, patients book directly with the hospital and can nominate the preferred day to have the procedure done to suit work and personal commitments.
Specialist consulting suites are located on site, as well as Pathology and Radiology.
Mitcham Private Hospital is at 27 Doncaster East Road, Mitcham. Phone 9210 3222 or visit www.ramsayhealth.-com.au/mph for more information.
