ZAC Thompson and his Launching Place family have seen a bit of Starlight Foundation magic over the years.
Zac was born with immune deficiency syndrome and has been in and out of hospital over the years.
His mother, Tracey, said the family is pleased to see something being done in the valley to help the Starlight Foundation.
That something is a Star Party organised by Yarra Valley FM 99.1 in conjunction with the Upper Yarra Archery Park on Sunday May 27.
The Starlight Foundation Australia, based at the Royal Children’s Hospital, raises funds for their ongoing services to assist ill children.
“The theme of the Star Party is ‘Let’s Have Fun!’,” said new Yarra Valley FM chairman Graeme Peers who is predicting a fantastic family day.
“A collective of other Yarra Valley organisations have teamed together with Yarra Valley FM 99.1 to provide activities such as stalls, displays, rides, a sausage sizzle, games for children and live music,” he said.
“We want everyone to come along between 10am and 4pm to help the children at this important Star Party.”
Mr Peers is keen to hear from anyone who would like to help out on the day. Phone 0408 522 789.
