NEWLEY elected Liberal MP for Evelyn Christine Fyffe has opened the doors to her new office in Lilydale.
With Opposition Leader Ted Baillieu on hand to make it official, Ms Fyffe was back in true form after her recent election victory.
After her surprise defeat in 2002, Ms Fyffe is back in her seat ready to serve the people of Evelyn once again.
“In a way I never stopped working,” she said. “I have always advocated things in and out of government, there’s no difference to me.”
High on the Baillieu-Fyffe agenda for Evelyn is making sure Labor keeps its election promises.
Mr Baillieu said Labor has already overcommitted $1 billion in its capital expenditure program.
“People often tell me, you guys might not have won but you forced them to make a lot of promises,” Mr Baillieu said during the office opening last month.
