Late Starters back on time

The Late Starters, from left, Mick Wenhuda, Jeff Jenkins, Kim Farrell, and David Johnston.
TAKING time out from working on their third CD, Jeff Jenkins’ Late Starters will be back on stage for two concerts in February.
Their return to St. Andrews Hotel, on Sunday, 12 February, from 3pm to 6pm, is an opportunity for the popular Yarra Valley band to connect with their local audience again.
Two weeks later the band will head for the goldfields where it has been booked for a special showcase performance as part of Bendigo’s summer concert series.
Songwriter Jeff Jenkins has emerged from a successful singing-acting career and has teamed with David Johnston, Mick Wenhuda and Kim Farrell, three seasoned instrumentalists.
Jeff’s insightful lyrics and the band’s dynamic delivery connect with all ages from the baby-boomer generation – a group that’s always loved hearing new music played by its peers – to younger punters who get off on the Late Starters’ energy and sheer musicianship.
The band’s songs are rootsy, with influences from a range of music styles, and there’s an on-stage excitement which, whether its playing to audiences in intimate pub settings or on the festival scene.
Jeff Jenkins will also perform solo at the popular music cafe, The Bodhi Tree, in Healesville on Friday, 17 February.
