INTERACTIVE Video and Sound has been providing film and music entertainment in Yarra Junction for 15 years.
Alison Dajlan was appointed manager when local GP Peter White took over the business a year ago.
“Our aim is to provide our customers with the latest in DVDs and music CDs along with the friendly, helpful service that we know they appreciate,” said Alison.
Interactive Video and Sound has a great range of film DVDs ranging from children’s movies through to romance, horror, drama, comedy and classics.
Their range of music CDs covers an equally diverse range of music styles with the top 20 ARIA chart stoppers always available and a good selection of jazz, rock, classic, heavy metal and pop designed to meet most music interests.
“We have put a lot of work into designing the shop so it is easy for our customers to find the movie or CD they want,” Allison said.
“And, our staff are always eager to help with movie recommendations,” she added.
Alison said staff members are also very much aware of the ratings on videos.
“We are always watchful that movies we hire out to children and teens are within the ratings available to those age groups.
“Parents need to be aware of those restrictions also, but if parents are not with children, we will always ring and confirm that they have the parents permission to get a certain film.”
A range of packages has been put together to suit family viewing and to offer good value to customers.
“We have a lot of weekly movie deals which are particularly popular during the school holidays, and we get 10 copies of the latest releases so we have plenty of copies on the shelves when they are most in demand,” Alison said.
Suitable identification is required for membership, but joining doesn’t mean getting tied up in bundles of red tape. People can join up on the spot and hire straight away with the required ID, Alison said.
