WINE tours art shows and music are just a few of the embellishments wineries along and off the Melba Highway are offering visitors who embark on the Melba Wine Trail.
Thirteen wineries are included on the trail, which is part of the Melba Festival.
The diversity of food and entertainment at the various wineries adds even further to the huge choice offered by the already impressive Melba Festival program of concerts, plays and recitals.
“Everyone has come up with something different,” said Graeme Miller of Millers Dixon Creek Estate where winery tours and the talent of balladist and harpist Barbara Jeffrey will complement the wine on the Sunday.
At Yarra Track Winery, Jim and Diana Viggers have provided an exhibition space for the Monkami Arts Festival; at Allinda Winery visitors can experience the art of wine-making; and at Roundstone play petanque and eat pizza by the lake as you listen to chamber music.
The Melba Festival will be held on 23, 24 and 25 March with the Wine Trail in full swing on the Saturday and Sunday.
For information on the Melba Wine Trail phone Ms Viggers on 9730 1340 or Mr Miller on 5965 2553.
For a full program of Melba Festival events phone Marjorie Wollands on 5965 2559.
