HEALESVILLE Netball Association is looking for players from little tackers to seniors – boys and girls!
The club, which has been operating for 15 years, will start its 2007 season with a registration afternoon at Healesville High School ECA Centre on Thursday.
The club caters for the sport from junior level right through to seniors.
Ready-Set-Go (previously Netta or Fun Net) caters for ages five to 10 years, 11 and under, 13 and under, 16 and under, and 21 and under.
Heidi Schmidt, spokesperson for the association, said they are particularly keen to attract players for the senior women’s competition, which runs on Thursday morning.
She said free childcare, which has been provided for a number of years, has been a good incentive for young mothers to get back into a sport which is not only fun but a great social opportunity.
“Players, experienced or not, can come along and sign up as individuals or in teams,” Ms Schmidt said. “All players are needed and welcome.”
The community centre has recently been upgraded and is now air-conditioned to provide comfortable playing conditions.
Registrations are at the High School in Camerons Road, Healesville from 4pm to 5.30pm on Thursday, 8 February.
For information phone Jayne Matthews, 5962 2106, Yvette Stanley, 5962 1620, Jenny Kennedy on 5962 4084 or Heidi Schmidt on 5962 2272.
