COMMUNITY groups can enjoy a “Christmas” get-together and raise funds for their cause at the annual community dance in Healesville on Saturday, 21 July.
The return of an annual old-style dance to the Healesville Memorial Hall was instigated by the late Jack Hort and the dance is now called “Jack Hort’s Christmas in July Gala Dance” in recognition of his initiative. The Rotary Club of Healesville is organising the event, which will feature Nu Vogue, modern, Latin, rock ‘n’ roll and old time dance music.
There will be some great prizes on offer during the night and a visit from Father Christmas.
The cost is just $15 per person with admission by pre-paid ticket only.
Community groups who book a table get to keep their ticket money with all other proceeds going to Rotary.
