YOU Scream Ice Cream is giving customers the chance to make their own ice cream.
Every Saturday morning at 11am those with a sweet tooth can make their own confection in a range of mouth-watering flavours.
Not that there are many flavours left to create.
You Scream Ice Cream already boasts everything from pink grapefruit and bubblegum flavours to all things chocolate, including creme caramel and tiramisu.
You Scream Ice Cream is a taste sensation, and no wonder, as it is made from all natural ingredients, natural flavours and the colours come from fresh fruits. There are no artificial colours or flavouring.
The artisan gelato, sorbet and ice cream are all made fresh daily on the premises – all natural, low fat, no fat, low carb, soy ice cream and gluten free.
While owner Tony McFarlane is busy with ice creams in the summer months, he has also created a menu that will serve all year round.
One of the specialities is Dutch Proffertjes (little pancakes) hot dogs and focaccia’s just to name a few.
Tony and Poppy McFarlane (of Poppy’s Thai Restaurants – renowned throughout Melbourne) had been discussing and planning the You Scream Ice Cream concept for more than two years.
When the perfect venue became available in October last year they were able to put their plans into action.
Since opening the doors in Healesville late last year, You Scream Ice Cream has been a hit with kids and parents.
There are now plans to reintroduce children’s ice cream birthday parties. You Scream Ice Cream has a fully equipped safe playground, with the service fast, friendly, happy and local.
When visiting Healesville call in and say hello to Tony and his friendly staff on the corner of Badger Creek Road and Maroondah Highway, the turn off to the Healesville Sanctuary.
