THE fourth and final Vocal Nosh for 2007 will be held on Sunday 11 November from 6pm to 8.30pm at the Darron Honey Centre in Healesville at 286 Maroondah Highway.
Vocal Nosh is a fun, relaxed evening of community singing at which no prior experience needed.
It is followed by a healthy feast of soup, crusty bread and fruit.
Led by music teacher and singing leader Leah Marlowe, the emphasis is on short, catchy tunes – in a range of styles – that everyone can learn quickly.
It includes warm-ups, chants and rounds, heavenly harmonies and vocal jams.
Ms Marlowe believes that singing is one of the simplest pleasures in life that provides food for the soul. “Joining together in song creates a strong sense of community,” Ms Marlowe said.
“I am passionate about encouraging people to rediscover and explore their voices in the safety of a large group.”
Cost is $10 at the door to sing only or $12, which includes dinner.
For more information and bookings call Leah Marlowe on 5962 3795 by Friday 9 November.
