ROCHFORD WINES along with partner Music Theatre Australia is excited to present An Address to the Colony by Sir Murray Rivers QC, featuring Bryan Dawe on Saturday, 23 June.
Sir Murray Rivers QC is, of course, the on-stage persona of celebrated satirist Bryan Dawe, partner with John Clarke on ABC TV’s 7.30 Report’s long running Clarke and Dawe interview segment.
Dawe plays the part of Sir Murray Rivers QC, one of Australia’s most controversial legal and political figures, a former Victorian Supreme Court judge and an outspoken media commentator, on ABC Radio.
Currently an Ambassador At Large for the Howard Government, Sir Murray Rivers QC is touring the colony and drumming up support for an increasingly desperate Howard Government in the lead up to the next Federal election, in the hit TV series.
His topics include: Corporate Governance and Ethics, Leaderships, to his views on IVF programs, the rise of Kevin Rudd and the Opposition parties, Greenhouse emissions and the environment, terrorism and Iraq, plus whatever else he feels like pontificating upon.
An Address to the Colony will be a clever set of humour and wit confronting serious social and political issues in an ironic and satirical way.
