BEN Conroy of Mt Evelyn married Kim Oates of Croydon at Elmswood Estate Winery earlier in the year.
Currently on their honeymoon in Perth, upon their return, the two will make their home at Boronia.
Despite the welcome rain somewhat dampening the outdoor wedding, doting Auntie Lyn Mullens said that it was a lovely occasion.
Mr Conroy spent some time working at The Mail in October 1996 as part of a work experience program and wrote two articles about the Federal election and a Very Special Kids promotion.
When he returns to Victoria he will resume his job as a theatre orderly at Knox Private Hospital, and his aunt Lyn says that he still enjoys reminiscing over his time spent at the Mail as a 15-year-old school boy.
