YARRA Junction’s junior Eagles have been inspired to fly to greater heights after travelling to the MCG to see the professionals in action.
Two trips sponsored by local traders and supporters of the club were organised with the Under 10s and 12s watching the exciting match between Melbourne and the Kangaroos, on 27 May, and the Under 14s and 16s being treated to the Collingwood versus Fremantle clash at the MCG, on 1 June.
Team manager Jodi Dyball said the players and officials had two great days of football as spectators and that the club was looking to organise more group outings.
“We particularly want to thank all the local traders and supporters of the club as without them we would not have had such successful and exciting days at the MCG,” Ms Dyball said.
Even though the season is well under way, new players are needed and will be welcomed into the club. Training is on Wednesdays from 5pm at the Yarra Junction Oval.
