THE popular Yarra Valley Deli is now open for dinner.
The relaxed atmosphere actor John Wood, wife Leslie and daughter Meg fostered for two years has been carried through to the evenings with excellent food, wine and service.
Manager Meg said opening for dinner was part of the original vision for the venue, and they were delighted now to provide a quality, family dining option to residents and visitors.
Dinner is available from Thursday through to Saturday, with the winterstyle menu proving a popular drawcard.
The alacarte menu includes wholesome meals like soups, roast vegetable lasagne, a range of steaks, chicken parmas, a tasty chicken curry and a selection of pasta dishes.
There are also specials which vary from week to week and can include steak and kidney pies and, one of Meg’s favourites, chickpea curry.
“The emphasis is on taste, using fresh ingredients and local produce,” Meg said.
“The atmosphere is great of a night time when we have background music, a wood heater to take the chill off the evening and a relaxed, casual atmosphere that is ideal for family dining.”
The Yarra Valley Deli is fully licensed with a good selection of Yarra Valley wines, local beers and mixed drinks.
The Deli is also open every day for morning and afternoon teas and lunch.
Gourmet pies, soups, quiches and gourmet sandwiches and rolls are always popular, and there is an excellent selection of cakes and slices for patrons to enjoy with the Deli’s fabulous coffee.
The cafestyle light meals and desserts are also available for dinner.
Patrons may also select the makeup of a cheese or antipasto platter, or one to take home.
Meg has one of the valley’s best selections of local and imported cheeses, dips and pates.
Night or day the Yarra Valley Deli, at 372A Warburton Hwy, Wandin, is an ideal venue for dining with friends and family, or for celebrating special occasions.
