BLUES and Rock band, The Coyotes, have been booked for the Grand Hotel in Healesville for New Year’s Eve.
The band has been a presence on the music scene for the past 15 years. The current line-up of Chuck van den Belt, Stuart Aldridge and Russell Cochrane has been together for the past five years and sees the band at its formidable best.
The band plays classics using the original outlay of the song with a touch of Coyotes input to make it interesting and high energy.
Stuart, a Healesville local said the band’s influences come from artistes such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher and other guitar-based acts.
A 2006 highlight for the band was to support Aussie blues band and legends CHAIN at Ruby’s lounge in Belgrave earlier this year.
The Coyotes currently have a four-track EP out to satisfy the demand by their fans and the band is now writing material for their first-ever original album.
With their combination of fine musicianship and stage presence The Coyotes are always a welcome addition to the local live scene and a great way to ring in the New Year.
Phone The Grand Hotel on 5962 4003 to book.
