BREEN Printing, a family business based in Healesville, has been servicing the Yarra Valley community for more than 30 years.
Established in 1973, the business has been owned and operated by the Jones family since 1987.
Manager Derek Jones, who runs the printing business with his wife Merinda, said the company specialises in the design and production of a wide range of printed material.
“We can take care of all general printing needs from business cards to brochures and books and we work closely with local Screen Printers and Sign Writers.”
Mr Jones said the business deals with all kinds of print projects from basic stationery for small businesses just starting up, through to full colour promotional material for large corporate organisations.
“All our design work is computer based and most of the pre-press, printing and trimming work is done right here on site by our highly skilled and experienced production team.”
“We have an extensive range of high quality paper stock to choose from, we do digital colour prints and high volume black and white photocopying, and we also do product photography.”
Breen Printing recently acquired new digital equipment to assist with short run brochure work, as well as installing a wide format poster printer for larger poster jobs.
Breen Printing doesn’t just help businesses but works with individuals on community projects as well.
“We’ve worked with everyone from kids at the Healesville High School with their annual Bang Calendar to managing the printing and production of the Community Directory.”
“Our expertise is working with customers and helping them to get their ideas into print, from conception through to completion.”
“Sometimes we work with clients to refine or fine tune ideas they have for print projects but we are equally as happy working with people from scratch.”
Breen Printing, which employs eight full-time staff members, deals with a wide range of clients including tourism operators, local businesses, schools and clubs and local and state government.
“Some of our local clients include Millers Dixons Creek Estate, Innocent Bystander, Chateau Yering and McEwan MP Fran Bailey.”
“We also provide graphic design services with the help of our design team, daughter Kirsty Woodhead and apprentice Amanda Hay. One of our recent clients being the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).”
Located along Hunter Road, Mr Jones said the industrial estate was a great working environment.
“All the businesses on the estate help each other out and direct customers to what services they’re looking for,” Mr Jones said.
“We are more than happy to answer people’s inquiries about printing related matters,” he said.
