Terminus is at the crossroads

Get ready for a new beginning.
The Terminus is back.
New management and the new chef say they are ready to sweep the place clean.
The new chef at the Terminus Hotel, Stephen McManus, is looking forward to putting his 25 years of experience into creating a fresh new look for the hotel.
“We want people to be aware that we are making dramatic changes both to the menu and the restaurant,” Mr McManus said.
“This will include new management, and new decor, a totally refreshed revamped environment.”
The Terminus Hotel will offer its function room for various occasions, catering for weddings, birthday parties, sporting presentations, engagement parties and more.
Mr McManus has been a chef since he was a teenager and comes to the Terminus from various hotels and restaurants from both Melbourne and the Yarra Valley.
The new menu will include a variety of international influences combined with a contemporary Australian twist.
“I love Asian and Italian food,” Mr McManus said.
“My menus include a French flavour with a modern Australian theme.”
Mr McManus said he was looking forward to working with the new management at the Terminus.
“The whole place needs an injection and the changes are going to give it exactly what it needs to flourish in the Yarra Valley,” Mr McManus said.
Focusing on a family friendly environment, Mr McManus said that he hoped to cater for people of all ages, families and young adults looking for a great atmosphere with quality food.
He also said that the Terminus was looking forward to bringing entertainment and live music back to Healesville.
“We are eventually going to rock the valley.
“Recent events such as On the Palate and similar events have brought hundreds of people to the Yarra Valley and we hope to get similar interest by introducing live entertainment at the hotel,” Mr McManus said.
“The food and atmosphere will be very, very nice, I can guarantee that.”
Mr McManus said that the changes at the Terminus are a positive for residents living in Healesville and surrounding area.
“People in Healesville have been neglected for years, not having somewhere to have functions, but we will have facilities to fit hundreds of people.
“They have been forced to go to Lilydale or even further, but not anymore,” Mr McManus said.
The Terminus Hotel is a family friendly venue, kids eat free with every paying adult.
