Pipeline panel seeks members

THE Sugarloaf Pipeline Alliance is seeking expressions of interest from community members and environmental groups to participate in a Regional Benefits Advisory Committee.
The committee will work with the alliance to implement the $5 million Regional Benefits Grants Program.
A key role of the Advisory Committee will be to access applications for grants, taking into account each project’s merits against fixed selection criteria.
The committee will then make recommendations for funding to the Sugarloaf Pipeline Alliance.
The committee will comprise two representatives from the Sugarloaf Pipeline Alliance, three community representatives, and two representatives from local environment groups.
Community and environment group representatives will be selected through public nomination.
Organisations such as Aboriginal Affairs Victoria, Regional Development Victoria, the Shire of Yarra Ranges, and the Murrindindi Shire have also been invited to nominate representatives.
Interested people can complete an application form and return it to the alliance before close of business on Thursday 31 July.
Application packs are available from Sugarloaf Pipeline Alliance on 1800 453 753 or at www.melbournewater.com.au/sugarloaf/regionalbenefits.
