Black Spur works to begin

STAGE two of the work on the Black Spur along the Maroondah Highway involving shoulder sealing, additional curve alignment marking and guard fence treatments is expected to commence shortly.
VicRoads has accelerated the works on the Black Spur in order to address motor cycle safety issues along the stretch of the Highway.
The works will take place during normal working hours from Monday to Friday.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane over short lengths with appropriate traffic controls.
During this period VicRoads will closely monitor delays and ensure the disruption to traffic is minimised.
Reduced road work speed limits will apply during these times and motorists are reminded to obey the posted speed limits.
It is anticipated that all works will be completed by October this year.
